First up, "String of Ponies" sends forth a mighty stampede that can change the tide of battle.
Two big mana powers: "Dry Sponge" milks an enemy of his mental energy until he slows to a stupor and "Wet Sponge" pours magic into a comrad making Keeper the greatest magicians' assistant ever.
Ulti-time! "Moonlight Stratum" brings forth your inner Gandalf and adds even more magical fun, including "Double Doddle" which adds a second old man on a horse so you can gank with yourself, "Stop by the Lighthouse" which invites people over from anywhere on the map to watch you shine, and "Get Off My Lawn" which is a brilliant way to drive off the neighbor kids who come to play in your yard.
So what about items?
He's getting senile -- boost his intelligence.
He drives off the fog -- plop down some wards.
Mekansm and Tranquil Boots are the most popular. Just to cover the bases, I say go with all the boots and if it's got an aura: buy it because a candle doesn't lose anything when it lights another candle.
